How to measure ROI from Pinterest

This is an interesting post by Olin Joseph on how to measure ROI from Pinterest. Definitely an intriguing point of view. Whether or not Pinterest will gain traction among brands who are always looking ways to justify marketing costs and resources remains to be seen. For one, it does bring a lot of traffic but that is because Pinterest allows “do follow” policy (however, not when users click on the pinned image linking to the external site). You can read more here about do follow and no follow. But as it becomes mainstream Pinterest may enforce as “no follow” policy more stringently. In that case, it maybe become a challenge to measure quantitatively. And in the words of D. Ronald Daniel of McKinsey and Co. if you can’t measure it you can’t manage it!
